Another day in Ouaga

Its almost time to return home. I'm wondering whether I'll have water tonight. Most of the time its not a problem, but the past week there've been quite a few watersupply cuts such as yesterday eve....I didn't know you could get that desperate for a shower. But you do get desperat after a long day of sweating and handling the fumes of trafic, etc.
I stopped by a French guys house today to have a look at his car for sale. Old has hell and looked like something that had barely survived Ouaga!! I politely declined and the search goes on. Apparently Mercedez Benz (spellcheck) are inexpensive here. Yes everything is indeed upside down and rather illogical at times.
Today I was waiting for yet another taxi by the side of the road and a man decided to reverse directly into me. Shocked and angry I started hitting his car with my bare hands. He looked at me, shrugged and responded: 'you could have mooved'. Yep this is the attitude one is up against in traffic.
Tomorrow a UN delegation will visit my little NGO RECIF to discuss my workplan of action for the year and to experience a Danish UN volunteer in action. Should be interesting. At night there's dinner ofcourse.
